Mr George Kuria Murathe was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority with effect from 6th July 2022. Mr Murathe is an Economist with over 20 yrs of experience. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Nagpur, India. Prior to his appointment, Mr Murathe served in various positions in the Government of Kenya including being an Independent Board member at Kenya Wine Agencies Ltd and Kenya National Trading Corporation. |

Mr Mburu was appointed as a Board Member of the Authority on 28th October 2021. He is a holder of CPA (K) and a Bachelor in Commerce ( Accounting ) degree from the University of Nairobi. Prior to his appointment, Mr Mburu, served as a Board of Director at the Kenyatta National Hospital. He also worked in other various capacities in Tana & Athi River Development Authority (TARDA), Metal Box Kenya Limited among others. Mr Mburu has extensive experience in Co-operatives and Pension Schemes Audit His other key competencies are in leadership and entrepreneurship. |
![]() Ms. Anne Waceke Wetangula |
Ms Waceke was appointed as a Board Member of the Authority on 28th October 2021. She holds a Masters in Business Administration ( Strategic Management)degree from Daystar University and a Bachelor of Psychology (Counselling) degree from the University of Nairobi . Prior to her appointment Ms Waceke, served as a member of the board of Mbagathi Hospital. Ms Waceke has previously served as an Export marketing Executive and a Customer and Treasury Consultant with Chase Bank Limited. She brings on board her extensive experience in leadership and strategy and policy formulation. |

Mr Kelvin Tom Mogeni was appointed as a Board member of the Authority With effect from 27th May 2022. Kelvin Mogeni is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a wide experience in constitutional law. He is a practicing certified arbitrator with international experience from India, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi and the United Kingdom. Kelvin previously served as the Chairman of International Commission of Jurist- Kenya (ICJ). |
![]() Mr Gerald Nyaoma, Alternate, CBK Governor |
Mr. Nyaoma was appointed as an alternate to the Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya on 6th April, 2016. He is the Director, Bank Supervision Department at the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK). Mr Nyaoma holds a M. Phil.(Econ) degree from the University of Cambridge-UK and BA (first class honors degree in Economics) from University of Nairobi. He is CPA (K), CPS (K) and AKIB. Mr. Nyaoma joined the Central Bank of Kenya on August 10, 1988, worked in various offices, and has served as the Acting Director, Internal Audit Department, Director, Bank Supervision Department and Director, Financial Services Department. |
![]() Ms. Alice Mwololo, Alternate, PS National Treasury |
Ms. Mwololo was appointed as an alternate to the Principal Secretary, National Treasury on 14th October, 2015. She holds a Masters in Economics and BA in Economics from the University of Nairobi and a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Planning Techniques from the Institute of Social Studies in the Netherlands. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Economics at Kenyatta University. Ms. Mwololo is a Chief Economist in the Directorate of Budget, Fiscal and Economic Affairs of the National Treasury. She has extensive experience in economic policy analysis, public finance, competition policy, project management and governance. She also has extensive experience in trade policy and regional integration matters; international and bilateral trade negotiations. She has participated in negotiations and conclusion of various bilateral and regional economic and trade agreements. |

Mr. Njuguna was appointed as the Authority’s CEO in August 2021. He holds a MSc. in Operations Research from the London School of Economics, UK, and a BSc in Mathematics. He is a CPA (K) holder and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). Peter joined SASRA in 2010 and led the Sacco supervision team in formulating and implementing the regulatory, supervisory strategy towards safe and sound Sacco sub sector in Kenya. Previously, he worked with World Council Of Credit Unions (WOCCU) as financial specialist and project Director, CIC and CBK. |

Mrs. Ragama joined SASRA in 2010 in the legal department and serving as the Board secretary. She is currently the Corporation Secretary and Director Legal Services. Roselyn is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and holds an LLM from University of Nairobi specializing in Corporate Governance, LLB (Hons) and Post Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law, CPS (K) and Diploma in Cooperative Management. She is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya and Institute of Directors of Kenya. |
