Earlier today, Hon. FCPA Dr. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya, EGH, Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs, led the Induction Retreat for the Honorable Members of the @Senate_KE Standing Committee on Trade, Industrialization, and Tourism in Mombasa.
The event was also attended by Patrick Kilemi, Principal Secretary, State Department for Cooperatives, Ms. Susan Auma Mang’eni, Principal Secretary, State Department for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, and other senior leaders in the cooperative sector.
As a key player in Kenya’s cooperative movement, SASRA participated in discussions on the state of the sector, ongoing flagship projects, and the #BETA initiative. The forum also focused on legislative efforts aimed at strengthening transparency, governance, and accountability within SACCOs.
