The Authority has launched the Cooperative Financial and SACCO Law Case Digest, Volume 1, a landmark publication that consolidates key judicial decisions shaping SACCO regulation, governance and dispute resolution in Kenya.
The Digest was launched during the 2026 Regulatory Policy and Legal Roundtable for Deposit-Taking SACCO Societies in Naivasha on Wednesday 10th June 2026.
Developed by SASRA in collaboration with Kenya Law, the publication provides a practical reference on legal issues including licensing, governance, regulatory enforcement, removal of officials, surcharging, fair administrative action and the jurisdiction of the Co-operative Tribunal.
The Digest is expected to support SACCO leaders, regulators, legal practitioners, policymakers and researchers by improving access to relevant court decisions and promoting greater consistency in the interpretation and application of SACCO laws.
Its launch marks an important step in strengthening legal certainty, accountability, compliance and good governance in the SACCO sector.
