The Authority is participating in the ongoing 2026 The International Credit Union Regulators’ Network (ICURN) Annual Conference, being held from 15 to 17 July 2026 at the Taj Palace in Mumbai, India.
The Kenyan delegation is led by the Principal Secretary for Co-operatives, Mr. Patrick Kilemi, and includes members of the SASRA Board, the Authority’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. David Sandagi, and other technical officers.
During the conference, the CEO made a presentation on the Authority’s supervisory response during a live cyber crisis. He highlighted the growing adoption of fintech and digital financial services in Kenya, the emerging cyber risks associated with increased reliance on ICT systems, and the measures being implemented to strengthen cyber resilience, improve incident preparedness and mitigate cyber risk within regulated SACCOs.
The Authority remains committed to supporting secure digital transformation and protecting SACCO members’ funds in an increasingly technology-driven financial sector.
