Government pledges support for the SACCO Central initiative

The CS Cooperatives Mr Simon Chelugui EGH has pledged to support SACCO Central initiative that will create efficiency and enable smaller SACCOs to access the state of the art technology that will include access to the National Payment System.

The Kenya Sacco Central is a corporate Sacco (Secondary Co-operative) whose members are primary co-operatives. The primary purpose of the co-operative is to provide specialized shared Sacco services to its members including;

  1. Sacco Central Liquidity and Sacco Inter-lending
  2. Shared Technology Platform
  3. Access to Kenya National Payment System and
  4. Support Interoperability for shared Digital Channels and Branches.
